Cars I've driven part 2

Let's continue to the S500 story. It happened when I was working for one Embassy here in Romania. Beside other stuff that I did there, I also drove the ambassador to receptions, meetings and other embassy related stuff. In this place I first set foot in a truly expensive car. It was a Mercedes E300 4matic, a great car to drive especially in winter time. They had another car an S350 Mercedes made in 1995, excellent car, very quiet inside. Then the ambassador decided that it was time to upgrade and bought a 2007 S350 4matic S-Klasse, beige leather, dvd player, camera in the back for reverse (very useful sometimes). For one year I drove this car every day and I enjoyed every one of them. Now let's get to the story with the S500. The S500 was the personal car of an ambassador's friend. One morning they had to leave by plain and the ambassador's wife forgot her purse at home. We were already in the airport and the airplane was scheduled to take off in half an hour. I was given the S500 and told that I have to retrieve the purse very fast. That's all I wanted to hear - it was on. I left in a hurry using the S500's kick-down option. Damn that car can go (hit 200 km/h in a jiffy). It had grey leather interior, dvd, and all sorts of options - but what I enjoyed the most were that beautiful engine and the massaging seats. Imagine going like the wind and receiving a massage in the same time. I was in Heaven for sure. Just to finish, I delivered the purse in time and everybody was happy, especially me (that was a day I will never forget).

Cars I've driven

Hello everyone,

I'm back. I will write in English from now on so everybody can read my posts. Today I would like to tell you about some of the cars I've driven since '04, when the driver's license arrived in my hands (what a happy day that was :) ). My first car that I bought was a Dacia 1310 (a Romanian car), very rusted, basically a piece of crap. Drove it a few times and then my dad decided that is time to sell it for booze. The next car that I drove was a Daewoo Tico (with an 0.8 L engine), perfect for city driving, but very unstable when going out of city. I fell "in love" with this car and in the following posts you will see that I even bought one for me. Stay tuned, because a S500 Mercedes will come into picture later...

Beginings

Inca de cand ma stiu mi-au placut masinile vechi (sau vintage cum se spune acum). Probabil toata obsesia porneste de la prima masina pe care am primit-o, cand eram mic. Imi aduc aminte ca racisem si bunicu-meu, ca sa nu mai fiu suparat, mi-a cumparat un Mercedes-Benz W115 sau "bot de cal" - ca sa inteleaga toata lumea. Masina aia m-a fascinat si marcat pe viata. Inca mi-o doresc in varianta 1:1 si sper sa o cumpar la un moment dat. Prin facultate am avut o perioada in care eram innebunit dupa BMW E30 "ursulet", dar vazand ca are toata lumea si ca toti isi bat joc de ele am renuntat la ideea de a mai detine unul.
Pe langa W115-ele de mai sus sper sa imi premit in viitor, ca acum e imposibil financiar, un Ford Mustang din '67, un Kafer sau "broscuta", un Mercedes W110 "coada de randunica".

Fiind prima data cand postez o las mai moale, urmand sa va fac capul calendar, bineinteles despre masini vechi si nu numai, in posturile ce vor urma.
